Expert and current information, support, training and advice.

People will realise that they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans+, at various times in their life.

Being lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans can feel like an extra pressure for people, depending on the extent to which family, friends, colleagues and the wider community are supportive. LGBT+ people often worry that those around them, at work, socially and at home, will react negatively to who they are, and too often experience high levels of anxiety. This can be damaging to mental well-being and leave people feeling isolated and unable to access the support or information they need.

Support, Advice and Resources

Our staff can help professionals and organisations understand and meet the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans+ people. We can provide practical guidance, advice and resources to better inform your practice and improve the levels of service for LGBT+ service users.

Creating an inclusive environment is a key part of making sure that lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans+ people feel welcome and valued in any environment.

Playing the guitar
I was blown away by the accessible and non-judgemental nature of the service provided… I deeply value the work that Body Positive does to make Cheshire a place where LGBT+ people can feel valid and safe.

I only came into existence on the fifteenth of December last year after quite a lot of not knowing where I was, where I was going. For about a year prior to that, I had been very unhappy with my life.
